What is Surrey Centre Block?
Surrey Centre Block is a transformative, master-planned development at the heart of Surrey, BC, designed to become the geographic and cultural core of Metro Vancouver’s second downtown.
Envisioned by Hariri Pontarini Architects in collaboration with Urban Strategies, the project is led by the Surrey Centre Development Corporation (SCDC) and will deliver over 2 million square feet of commercial, institutional, and civic space.
The plan emphasizes transit-oriented growth, with direct integration to the Surrey Central SkyTrain station, and aims to foster a vibrant, walkable urban environment with high-quality public spaces, active streetscapes, and a strong focus on connectivity between key civic anchors like Civic Plaza and Central City Plaza
